About us

Example.org is a small independent studio in Hamburg. We build and look after websites for organisations that would rather spend their time on their actual work than on a content management system.

What we do

We started in 2016 with a single client and a stubborn conviction: a website should be something you can change yourself, on a Tuesday afternoon, without filing a ticket. Everything we have built since follows from that.

• Websites that clients can edit without calling us first
• Hosting and maintenance, including the parts nobody enjoys
• Migrations away from platforms that outstayed their welcome
• Accessibility and performance reviews of what you already have

How we work

Small team, direct contact. The person who writes your site is the person you email when something looks wrong. We publish changes to a preview address first, so you can see exactly what your visitors will see before anyone else does.

We are deliberately not the cheapest option, and we are deliberately not the biggest. We take on roughly a dozen projects a year and finish them.

The people

Nine of us, three of whom have been here since the beginning. Between us we speak German, English, Turkish and rather too much CSS. The office plant is called Gerhard and has survived four moves.
